Gus Fisher Gallery — Inhale | Exhale

A twelve-channel digital video projection presented across the three main spaces at the Gus Fisher Gallery.

Vincent Ward’s immersive, choreographed video installation surrounded viewers in layered sequences of human figures in water abstracted in foetal sacs with fish.  While in another space a trapped bird "flew from screen to screen" around a room. Separately a large naked man lay vulnerable on the main street of a small town as eerily a wild horse loomed towards him.

The series explored 'Creaturely Life,' and had an accompanying essay written by curator Andrew Clifford exploring this theory first espoused by philosopher writer WG Sebold and Eric Santer.
